Shannon Evangelista is EP, showrunner and co-owner of the bicoastal production company Hot Snakes Media. Shannon’s most recent project, The Curious Case of Natalia Grace, became one of the most watched and talked about crime documentaries of the past year, garnering massive ratings for ID and trending on Max.

The company has shattered viewership records on multiple networks and streamers and is responsible for some of the most watched and innovative content of the past decade. Shannon and her husband and cofounder, Eric, are the hitmakers behind top shows across genres including paranormal, true crime, doc series, unscripted and wildlife/adventure programming.

Best known for its thought-provoking un-scripted series, shows include TLC’s hit Return to Amish, (season 11 premiering March 14th on TLC), Amish Mafia, Discovery +'s sensation Pig Royalty and the critically acclaimed Netflix series DeafU which won the The Critics Choice Real TV Award for Best Unstructured Series and was nominated for a TCA Award. Shannon and Eric recently appeared in Variety’s 2022 Reality Impact Report - for making their mark as creatives in the unscripted space.

In addition, Shannon is leading a number of groundbreaking projects in development and production, including multiple series for Warner Bros. Discovery and another new season of My True Crime Story.
 
Shannon’s first profession was in the law, having served as Assistant District Attorney in Orange County and the District Attorney’s Office in Manhattan. These experiences uniquely inform Shannon’s world-view and drive a differentiated perspective that complements Hot Snakes’ creative mindset and lends authenticity to the production process. In fact, Shannon and Eric, attribute a meaningful share of Hot Snakes’ success to their multidimensional respective backgrounds.
