Nicole Angemi, MS, PA (ASCP) has worked in the field of pathology for more than 20 years dissecting thousands of organs from surgeries and performing autopsies. Her training as a Pathologists’ Assistant has made her a specialist in the field of anatomy, pathology, and forensics.

Nicole brought her love of pathology to Instagram over ten years ago under the name @mrs_angemi with the tagline: Wife. Mother. Human Dissector. Since then, she has acquired over two million like-minded individuals across her social media platforms.

In 2019, she created The Gross Room, a blog-based website that focuses on pathology, anatomy, medicine, and forensic education by using examples from high-profile and celebrity deaths. The graphic articles focus on “gross” pathology and how scientists use their training and education to diagnose disease and injury and determine a cause of death.
Her first book, Nicole Angemi’s Anatomy: A Catalog of Familiar, Rare, and Unusual Pathologies, was released in 2022. This Amazon Best Seller is a journey through all of the anatomical parts of the human body-and everything that can go wrong with it.

In 2023, Nicole launched the podcast, Mother Knows Death, with her daughter Maria Q. Kane where they discuss recent news stories related to true crime, injuries, freak accidents, death, disease, and relevant medical topics followed up by interviews with experts in the field.

In addition to pathology education, Nicole is happily married to Gabriel and they share three daughters Maria, Lillian, and Lucia.
