Mara S. Campo is a four-time Emmy Award winning TV journalist, cable news commentator, sought-after public speaker, and one of the highest-charting Black podcasters in the United States. Mara is the Global News Anchor and Managing Editor of Revolt News (Revolt TV), covering the stories and issues most important to the Black community. Mara is also the co-host of Investigation Discovery's Crimefeed, providing in-depth insight and analysis into today’s most high profile crimes.
Mara frequently appears on cable news and on syndicated TV shows, including CNN, MSNBC, and ‘Inside Edition’, sharing analysis and commentary on news stories and hot topics. Her areas of focus are race, culture, and social justice.
In addition to her extensive television experience, Mara is also a successful podcaster. She was the creator, host, and Executive Producer of two successful podcasts: The Trend Reporter podcast (iHeartMedia - iTunes #1 Fashion and Beauty, iTunes Top 200 overall, 1M+ downloads), which covered the latest trends in beauty and wellness; The Run Tell This podcast (iTunes Top 100 Arts) which covered news and social justice from the perspective of Black journalists. Mara currently guest hosts for Our Body Politic, a podcast that covers the impact of women of color on the economy, health, politics, and pop culture.
Over her 15 year journalism career, Mara has covered many of the biggest news stories of the day, including as a correspondent for Good Morning America and The Today Show. She has also worked as an international contributor and commentator for numerous news outlets and websites.
Mara’s unique combination of media experience and rich personal history make her a sought-after public speaker and event host. She has worked with some of the top companies and brands in the country, including Barclays, AT&T, the American Heart Association, Morgan Stanley, and more.
The daughter of an African-American mother and Italian father, Mara holds dual Italian-American citizenship, speaks fluent Italian, and can get by in Spanish and French. Today Mara lives with her husband and two children in Harlem, New York.
