Gary Craig has been a newspaper reporter for more than 40 years, with much of his focus on criminal justice issues. He is now a reporter with the Democrat and Chronicle in Rochester, where he has been since 1990. He has won more than two dozen state, regional and national awards for investigative reporting and writing, including honors from National Headliners and Investigative Reporters and Editors. He has covered the “Brighton Ax Murder” since the case was reopened almost a decade ago.
