Forensic Pathologist & Medical Examiner
Dr. Michael Baden is a former Chief Medical Examiner of New York City and the former Chief Forensic Pathologist for the New York State Police.  He was the chief forensic pathologist for the United States Congress Select Committee on Assassinations that investigated the deaths of President John F. Kennedy and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in the 1970s.

He was the forensic pathologist asked by the Russian government to examine the exhumed remains of Czar Nicholas and Alexandra and the Romanoff family during the 1990s.

Dr. Baden has participated, at the request of the Polish government, in the exhumation and re-examination of the deaths of President Lech Kaczynski and his wife, and 90 high government officials who died in an airplane disaster while landing in Smolensk, Russia to commemorate the Polish military victims of the Katyn Forest massacre during World War II.

Dr. Baden has also been asked by governments or families to investigate deaths in Canada, Mexico, South America, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Israel and Australia.

In the United States he has been active in performing autopsies or re-autopsies in civil rights deaths including those of Medgar Evers, Arthur Miller, Martin Lee Anderson, Michael Brown, Eric Garner and George Floyd.
