Arlette Lyons (fka Lee) was a Special Agent with IRS Criminal Investigation for 28 years before retiring January 31, 2024. She started her career as a volunteer in Honolulu, HI in 1992. She worked her way up from Clerk-Typist to Tax Fraud Investigative Aide and then Special Agent in January 1996. She spent most of her career in Oakland, CA, working tax and money laundering cases, as well as being the Public Information Officer for Northern California (how she met Nancy). In January 2021 she transferred to Las Vegas, NV.

The inspiration for her career was Clarice Starling in Silence of the Lambs. She wanted to be an FBI agent but met an IRS Gift Estate Tax Attorney (in an evening Christmas choir class) who introduced her to his friends in IRS-CI. She has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Hawaii. She is a native of Honolulu.
She is a Libra, loves coffee and cleaning her house and is a singer in a wedding/cover band. Currently working as a financial investigator for the US Attorney’s Office, working on drug cases.
